PROPARCO to invest in Mauritian MUA Insurance

PROPARCO, the investment subsidiary of Agence Française de Développement, plans to invest 10 million USD in the capital of the Mauritian group MUA Insurance.

Based on current market conditions, PROPARCO is set to take a 7.8% stake and become MUA's leading international institutional shareholder. The deal would also give PROPARCO access to the Mauritian group's network which operates in 6 African countries.

The acquisition project remains subject to the approval of MUA's shareholders and regulatory authorities.
