Qatar, property damage class of business booming

Strong by an average growth rate of 24% over the past five years, the premiums written in the property damage class of business should reach 6.4 billion QAR (1.8 billion USD) in 2019, against 4.3 billion QAR (USD 1.2 billion) in 2014, a leap by nearly 50%.

This expected exponential increase is mainly due to the new strategy of the Qatari authorities to diversify investments outside the oil sector and to initiate large infrastructure projects such as those booted to host the 2022 football World Cup.
