Remuneration of Swiss Re executives in 2021
In its 2021 annual report, Swiss Re discloses the salaries of the executives and the Board of Directors.
The aggregate amount of the remunerations granted to the 14 members of the group's executive management reached 49.308 million CHF (53.87 million USD) in 2021, which represents a 9.5% increase compared to 45.043 million CHF (51 million USD) granted to 15 members in 2020.
CEO Christian Mumenthaler is the most highly paid with a salary of 7.123 million CHF (7.8 million USD) in 2021 compared to 6.066 million CHF (6.9 million USD) a year ago.
The salary package for the 13 members of the Board of Directors amounts to 9.942 million CHF (10.861 million USD) in 2021 compared to 10.021 million CHF (11.3 million USD) in 2020. Sergio P. Ermotti, elected Chairman of the Board in April 2021, was paid 3.8 million CHF (4.15 million USD) in the previous year.
