Report 2005 of the non life insurance mediator

The Ombudsman 2005 Report for property insurance has reported a 20% increase in the percentage of business settled in comparison with 2004. The amount of sums recovered by consumers has risen to 45 million ZAR (7.3 million USD). Motor insurance accounts for 63% of the complaints while property damage insurance gets only 15%. In addition to the statistics, the report has included case studies that may be used as a working tool for not only customers but also for insurance business professionals.
