Ramon Fernandez is joining the AXA Group's Board of Directors

Ramon Fernandez, currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Orange, is joining the AXA Group's Board of Directors as an Administrator. This appointment is expected to be confirmed during the Group' s next general assembly scheduled for 29 April 2021.

A graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and the Ecole Nationale de l'Administration (ENA), R. Fernandez joined the Orange Group in 2014, where in seven years of activity he has held several management positions. Prior to Orange, he was appointed General Manager of the National Treasury Department.

The arrival of R. Fernandez on AXA's Board of Directors comes at a time when two executive administrators, Ramon de Oliveira and Elaine Sarsynski are about to see their terms of office expire.

In addition, the French insurer has initiated a selection process for the replacement of the current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Denis Duverne, who has reached the age limit. Aged 68, D. Duverne will be stepping down within a year.
