Results of ARIG in 2003

Following a four-year consecutive deficit, Arab Insurance Group (Arig) bounced back making a 7.6 million USD net profit in 2003, with a 48% contribution of its subsidiaries.
Of the 232.7 million USD Gross premium income in 2003, (+15.1% compared to 2002), 51.2% have been achieved by insurance and 48.8% by reinsurance.
Reminder: After two difficult years (2000,2001), marked by the group's reconsideration of its international development strategy and the September,11 attacks, Arig embarked on a cost-mastering policy, a reduction of portfolio volatility and a reorientation of its activities towards regional markets.
