RGA profits jump in 2014

Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) posted a jump in profits of 684 million USD in 2014,an increase of over 63% compared to 2013 (418.4 million USD). The technical result of the life reinsurer almost doubled to 638 million USD against 358.4 million USD in 2013.

American international affairs also increased.The pre-tax technical result for the Africa-Middle East region (EMEA) recorded a significant increase of 136.4 million USD in 2014 against 71.1 million USD in 2013.

The Asia Pacific region comes back to its pre-tax technical result profit of 106.7 million USD in 2014 after a loss of 218.4 million USD in 2013.
