Rising cyber-attacks in 2017

Based on the data supplied by Algerian national gendarmerie, the number of cyber-attacks rose by 70% in 2017, going from 538 in 2016 up to 905 threats twelve months later. Most of these incidents targeted natural persons.

Algerian corporate, increasingly resorting to digital technology, are not spared the hazards of this risk. Local insurers are, therefore, required to tap into this niche, proposing covers against this scourge.
