Saham Assurance: Results as at 30 September 2020

As at 30 September 2020, Saham Assurance recorded a turnover of 3.976 billion MAD (424.25 million USD), a 6% decrease compared to the same period in 2019.

Non-life premiums slightly rose by 0.9% to be set at 3.387 billion MAD (361.4 million USD) during the first nine months of 2020. The life activity shows a 32.4% drop in premium income to 589 million MAD (62.84 million USD). Such decline is accounted for by the drop in savings contracts.

During the period under review, the investments reached 14.81 billion MAD (1.58 billion USD): a 2.7% increase compared to 31 December 2019. The net technical reserves increased by 3.2% compared to 31 December 2019.

The entirety of Saham’s activities has strongly been impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
