Sanlam (South Africa) gets 30% in the capital of Saham Finances

As part of its expansion strategy in Africa, the South African insurer Sanlam has acquired 30% of Saham Finances, parent company of Saham Assurances.

The transaction achieved through the acquisition of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Abraaj group stakes is valued at 376 million USD.

The finalization of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Moroccan regulatory authorities.
With this acquisition, Sanlam has set foot in 25 countries in Africa and the Middle East where the Moroccan insurer operates.
