Sanlam will make acquisitions in 2014

The South African insurer Sanlam has established a reserve worth nearly 370 million USD for acquisitions in Africa and Asia in 2014. Countries where takeovers are likely to materialize soon are India, Malaysia and South Africa. Angola, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Ethiopia are also targeted.

In 2013, Sanlam invested more than 238 million USD in acquisitions. The group announced plans to strengthen activities in asset management in Great Britain.
