SCOR: results as at 30 September 2021

SCORAs of 30 September 2021, SCOR has recorded a turnover of 13.047 billion EUR (15.188 billion USD), which is 6.2% higher than the previous year's figure of 12.283 billion EUR (14.377 billion USD).

SCOR Global P&C has posted a 12% increase in its written premiums reaching 6.012 billion EUR (6.7 billion USD). The non-life combined ratio, impacted by Covid-19 claims and natural disasters, has reached 102.7%.

The total cost of natural disasters which took place during the first nine months of 2021 stands at 708 million EUR (824.232 million USD). This amount includes particularly the floods in Europe and hurricane Ida. Both events resulted in a charge of 343 million EUR (399.31 million USD).

As of 30 September 2021, the SCOR Global Life entity recorded a turnover of 7.035 billion EUR (8.18 billion USD), which represents an increase of 1.7% over one year.

By late September 2020, the net result went from 135 million EUR (158.020 million USD) to 339 million EUR (394.653 million USD) one year later, which represents an increase of 151%.

The group's equity capital reached 6.315 billion EUR (7.351 billion USD). The solvency ratio of 225% exceeds the range set by the "Quantum Leap" strategic plan (185%-220%).

The French reinsurer has launched a share repurchase program of 200 million EUR (232.035 million USD). It shall start on 28 October 2021 and be finalized by March 2022 at the latest.
