Scor, solid performance for the first half of 2015

Scor posted strong results in the first half 2015. The French reinsurer had a net profit, increasing by 27.7% to 327 million EUR (363 million USD) against 256 million EUR (349 million USD) in the first half of 2014.

The company turnover grew by 19.6% to stand at 6.493 billion EUR (7.205 billion USD ). As for the shareholders' equity, it progressed by 17.1% to 6.026 billion EUR (6.687 billion USD).
Finally, the net non life combined ratio remained unchanged. It stabilized at 90.9%.

Premiums for Scor life and non life entities delivered a double-digit growth. Regarding Scor Global P & C, revenues rose from 2.400 billion EUR (3.276 billion USD) as at June 30, 2014 to 2.859 billion EUR (3.172 billion USD), an increase of 19.1%.

For theit part, premiums underwritten by SCOR Global Life are established/stood at 3.634 billion EUR (4.032 billion USD), up by 20.1% over the same period in 2014.

The American rating agency Fitch has recently raised, by one notch, the financial strength rating of the French group from A + (positive outlook) to AA- (stable outlook).
