Ship carrying 1 100 Porsches and 189 Bentleys catches fire

On 16 February 2021, a fire broke out on board the Felicity Ace, a 200-meter-long merchant ship. The Cargo ship caught fire off the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.

Portuguese authorities managed to evacuate the 22 crew members without damage or injury.

The Felicity Ace, which was heading towards Davisville (USA) from Emden (Germany), was carrying 4 000 vehicles, including 1 100 Porsches and 189 Bentleys.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Further information about the salvage of the cargo, which could have gone up in flames, has not yet been disclosed.
