S&P is wary of D&O insurance

The rating agency Standard & Poor's has informed insurers that the market for D&O insurance may be in the red in the coming years.
S&P has said that companies underwriting this class of business are highly exposed to volatile markets, increased competitiveness and to the instability of financial markets.
Litigation involving directors and property managers are poised to rise, increasing, thus, the insurers’ exposure.
