Sports cars are underinsured in the UAE
According to the "yallacompare" car insurance comparator, sports cars are underinsured in the United Arab Emirates. The insurance coverage deficit is obvious for some models like the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The average insured value of this car is 215 000 AED (58 549 USD) while its actual cost is 346 000 AED (94 223 USD).
Same problem with the BMW Z4 sDrive 28i, sold at 130 000 AED (35 402 USD) while its average insured value is 108 300 AED (29 492 USD). And likewise, for several other models.
This phenomenon is all the more worrying as sports cars are high-risk vehicles.
