Steady profits for Lloyd's in 2014

According to the latest results released by the Lloyd's, the gross premiums recorded by the market syndicates posted in 2014 a decrease by 1.2% to 39.3 billion USD.

The pre-tax profits remained stable at 4.97 billion USD. The combined ratio rose to 88.1% compared to 2013 (86.8%).
According to Inga Beale, Lloyd’s CEO, these results are honorable, given the current market situation and "reflect a collective achievement of which we should be proud."

As a reminder, The Lloyd's is engaged in a development policy in emerging markets. New offices have been opened in Dubai and China in recent months.

Since the recent opening of its market, the company has also been planning to expand in India as well as Turkey, Malaysia and Colombia.
