Technology, insurers are coping with customers' needs

According to a survey carried out by Accenture SA, insurers are required to invest in several distribution channels. More than 19% of the investments are targeting mobile technology while 62% of insurers envisage a remarkable development in this sector. As to digital marketing, 34% of insurers are already concerned with this channel while 49% intend to embark on it in the future. Three companies out of four think that all services including quotations, underwriting, invoicing, claim report and accounts management will be available online in three years time while only 21% have such services available on mobile aids.
