The absence of a pollution insurance policy in the country is raising concerns

In an effort to make up for the absence of pollution insurance policies in the country, insurance and environmental sector officials have pushed for a plan to set up a co-insurance or a compensation fund for industrial pollution. Currently, only SONATRACH, the state-owned oil company, has taken steps to assume such a risk.
