The biggest stock listing of the recent two years has been a success

The life insurer Dai-ichi has successfully been listed in the Tokyo stock market. By putting 7.2 million shares on the market at a unit price of 140 000 JPY (1 486 USD) and allocating an additional 3 million to its customers, the group has raised 1010 billion JPY (10.7 billion USD). This move brings the company's value to 1 600 billion JPY (16.9 billion USD). The share has jumped by 14.29% from the first day. Established in 1902, Dai-ichi has achieved the biggest stock listing in the recent two years. With a shrinking Japanese market, Dai-ichi is hoping to develop in the emerging Asian markets.
