The cost of riots is estimated at 323 million USD

The Association of British Insurers said the cost of the riots that occurred in Britain this summer will amount to about 323 million USD.

This estimate went twofold after the Prime Minister, David Cameron, had said that the 1886 law allowing insurers to transfer some of the costs of riots to the police authority will be in force. The government expressed its willingness to intervene in case the police funds were insufficient.
