The Indian insurer HDFC Life settles in Dubai

The Indian life insurer HDFC Life has established a subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates. Set up in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) since January 10, 2016, the new life entity has began operating under the name of HDFC International Life and Re Company Limited (HILRCL).

With an initial capital of 12.33 million USD, the company is offering reinsurance capacity to local and regional ceding companies. Upon obtaining the required approvals, it will also operate in direct insurance.
