Insurance agents affiliated in the Moroccan union of general agents (UMAAG) met in late May 2013 to discuss the development of their activities. The latest regulatory changes regarding insurance distribution and competition have been the points most debated.
The repositioning of general agents was deemed essential to increase their presence after the rise of online distribution. Another concern: the transfer of companies’ management expenses to agents while the latter’s remuneration seems to be insufficient.
