The insurance commission said the market's turnover rose by 13% in 2010 at 1.2 billion USD. The number of policies sold increased by 8% over this period, reaching 3 047 000 USD including 791 000 USD in life. Fifty insurance companies are active in the country. The top ten control 64% of the market shares.
