The law governing micro finance is under study

The Egyptian government is working on the introduction of micro finance and micro insurance in the country. A specific legislation is under study and the first draft will be imminently submitted to the parliament.
Postal service will be involved in the project. By providing facilities for the greater low-income population, the state is hoping to offset growth downfall which amounted to 7% before the crisis and which has fallen to only 5% now.
