The liberalization of the motor TPL tariff is being debated

The liberalization of the motor third party liability tariffs, expected for July 2006, is now the subject of a debate among the business professionals. Two scenarios are on the table: either the immediate liberalization, or the adoption of a three-year transitional phase before the final liberalization. The latter option is the most likely being favoured by the market's different stakeholders.
For Ali Boughaleb, the general delegate of the Fédération Marocaine des Sociétés d'Assurances, the companies had better set up a statistically reliable data base before indulging in tariffs elaboration.
