The national health insurance company Daman will be introducing a new quality system in January

In order to focus its medical services on service quality and patients welfare, Daman will set up a new health insurance system as of January 2010. This scheme will be based on “incentive pay” and shall replace the former which depended upon the company's inspectors' ratings. To remain part of the Daman network, health services will have to disclose information on medical procedures, specific cases and the clinical results obtained.

Daman is a leading health insurance company in the region. It offers medical coverage through pharmacies, clinics and private hospitals to more than 800 000 clients in the country.
