The National Insurance Corporation indemnifies the government

The National Insurance Corporation has disbursed 3.336 million USD to the government in damages following the President Yoweri Museveni's Mi-172 helicopter crash in which the Sudanese Vice-President John Garang and thirteen other passengers, 7 of whom Ugandan, perished on July 30, 2005. The compensation of the victims' families will be carried out subsequently.
