The premiums paid annually by the government amount to 3.4 million USD

The premiums paid annually by the government to cover State properties amount to 1.3 million BHD (3.4 million USD) for an insured value of 1.7 billion BHD (4.5 billion USD). This amount corresponds to 19 policies for the cover of the most important 190 risks such as: power plants and airport. The covers pertain to fire, accident, burglary, natural disasters, water damage and property damages risks. However, due to budget constraints, the government cannot provide coverage to all State properties.
