The winter storm of January causes heavy economic losses

January has been rough on numerous countries of the Middle East. The storm named Huda or Zina disrupted road and airport traffic.

Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Turkey, Palestine and Syria sustained heavy snow and hail storms.
Freezing temperatures and devastating rains claimed the lives of nine people and caused hundreds of car accidents.

Economic losses are estimated around 100 million USD for the entire region.
