Top 50 global reinsurers - 2020 ranking

reassurance Munich Re regains the top spot in the global reinsurance ranking in 2020, according to AM Best. The first position of the podium has been occupied for the past two years by its Swiss competitor Swiss Re.

At 45.846 billion USD. the German reinsurer's gross written life and non-life premiums have significantly increased by 21.1% in one year.

Other highlights: Lloyd's went from the 6^th to the 7^th position while China Re has gained two places and is now ranked sixth.
