Tripoli airport, damage estimated at a minimum of 200 million USD

The conflict for the takeover of Tripoli airport since July 13 has caused enormous damage to the airfleets parked on the tarmac.

A total of 20 aircrafts would have been damaged, for an estimated total amount between 200 and 400 million USD according to a research note from Barclays Bank.

13 planes would be the property of Afriqiyah company, and the rest belonging to Libyan Airlines according to Libyan officials quoted by Reuters.
These losses should be endorsed by airlines' insurers under "aviation war risks".
