Turnover increase of Tunisian insurers listed on the stock exchange in Q1 2022

As of 31 March 2022, the four Tunisian insurers listed on the stock exchange have recorded a 13.6% increase in their turnover. The premiums of the four companies as a whole has increased from 303.32 million TND (108.046 million USD) in Q1 2021 to 344.704 million TND (117.075 million USD) one year later.

The Société Tunisienne d’Assurances et de Réassurances (STAR) alone accounts for 36.6% of the total collections, that is 126.277 million TND (42.9 million USD).

The companies ASTREE, Assurances Maghrebia and BH Assurance share the remaining 64.4% with respective turnover of 91.853 million TND (31.197 million USD), 83.309 million TND (28.295 million USD) and 43.265 million TND (14.695 million USD).

On the other hand, the reinsurer Tunis Re, has posted 54.553 million TND (18.18 million USD) of premiums during Q1 2022, that is a growth of 9.2% over a year.
