Two online insurance companies obtein license to operate in India
Acko and Digit Insurance, two online insurance companies, have been granted license by supervisory authorities in order to kick start their operations.
Endowed with 2 billion INR (30.5 million USD) in share capital, and detained by foreign investors at 48%, Acko is due to start business in December 2017. The company’s services will first be restricted to motor and travel insurance products while the introduction of health plans has been scheduled to start in 2018.Digit Insurance will start operation in November 2017 with a capital worth 3.5 billion INR (53.4 million USD).More news on:
