Wage increases of 0.8% for Swiss executives in 2015

The base salary of Swiss executives has been raised by 0.8% in 2015. This coefficient, same as in 2014, remains below that of 2012 and 2013 when it amounted to 1.1%.

Executives used to benefit from an average increase of 4.5% per year. Today, Swiss companies make recourse to bonuses as a way of incentivizing their executive staff and only give small increases in fixed wages.

Middle executives have an average salary of 176 000 CHF (178 000 USD) and an average bonus of 18 000 CHF (18 200 USD). Management executives have a median salary of 420 000 CHF (424 506 USD) per year.

Their bonus is on average 88 000 CHF (89 000 USD). According to consulting firm Kienbaum, insurance is the economic sector that offers the greatest remunerations for executives.
