Zurich Insurance offers 8.79 billion USD to acquire RSA

Zurich Insurance is in talks with Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) for a possible acquisition.
The Swiss insurer has estimated the amount of the transaction at 5.6 billion GBP (8.79 billion USD).

For the time being, this offer remains informal and Zurich Insurance has a period of up to 22 September 2015 to make a firm offer.
