Actuarial capacity-building session in Africa

The International Actuarial Association (IAA), in collaboration with the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), the Moroccan Association of Actuaries (AMA), and the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA), is organizing a capacity-building session to strengthen actuarial expertise within the African insurance sector.

The event will take place on 25 and 26 November 2025 in Casablanca, Morocco, and will focus on the following three themes:

• Risk-based supervision
• Emerging risks in the insurance sector (e.g. climate, cyber)
• Actuarial priorities for the African insurance sector (e.g. inclusive insurance, digitalization)
