Alkhaleej Takaful Insurance in talks to acquire Sharq Insurance

Alkhaleej Takaful Insurance has entered into preliminary negotiations with Doha Bank for the acquisition of its subsidiary Sharq Insurance.

The transaction remains subject to the signature of an agreement between the parties involved, as well as the approval of the relevant authorities and the shareholders of the companies in question.

Formerly known as Doha Bank Assurance Company, Doha Bank's wholly-owned subsidiary changed its name to Sharq Insurance in 2020.
