Allianz and Prudential control 50% of the Cameroonian life insurance market

All the Cameroonian life insurers reported an annual turnover of 70.6 billion FCFA (132.2 million USD) by the end of 2020.

The market is dominated by Allianz Life and Prudential Beneficial which respectively recorded 20.2 billion FCFA (37.82 million USD) and 15.07 billion FCFA (28.22 million USD) in written premiums.

These two companies accounted for 50% of the turnover achieved in the life class of business in 2020.
