AM Best Affirms Arab Re’s Ratings

AM Best has affirmed the “B” (Fair) financial strength rating and “bb” (Fair) long-term credit rating of Arab Reinsurance Company SAL (Arab Re). The outlook of the former is stable, while that of the latter is positive.

The ratings reflect the Lebanese reinsurer’s strong balance sheet, adequate operating performance, limited business profile, and marginal enterprise risk management.

Between 2021 and 2025, the company posted positive operating profits and underwriting results. Return on equity (ROE) stood at 6.1% in 2025.
