Arthur J. Gallagher completes the acquisition of Willis Re

The American broker Arthur J. Gallagher has finalized the acquisition of Willis Re, the reinsurance brokerage subsidiary of Willis Towers Watson. The value of the transaction amounts to 3.25 billion USD.

The activities of Gallagher and Willis Re will be merged into a single entity named Gallagher Re. The latter will be managed by James Kent, CEO of Global Reinsurance, who will report to Tom Gallagher, General Manager of Gallagher Global Property & Casualty Brokerage.
