Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company, part of the gig Bahrain group, has recorded an 18% increase in its turnover as at 30 June 2021.
The premium volume has increased from 38.019 million BHD in H1 2020 to 44.927 million BHD (118.502 million USD) a year later.
The net profit has grown by 6% in the first half of 2021 to reach 2.435 million BHD (6.422 million USD). This progress is mainly due to the 42% improvement of the underwriting result which stands at 2.461 million BHD (6.491 million USD) at the end of June 2021.
The Bahraini insurer's assets amount to 228.278 million BHD (602.117 million USD), a 5% decline compared to the end of June 2020.
The company's shareholders' equity has reached 40.293 million BHD (106.279 million USD) in H1 2021 against 39.607 million BHD (104.469 million USD) a year earlier, representing a 2% growth.
