BH Assurance: H1 2024 results

BH Assurance closed the first two quarters of 2024 with a turnover of 103.3 million TND (32.8 million USD), up by 13% year-on-year.

Non-life premiums increased by 8% to reach 60.1 million TND (19.1 million USD), while life premiums rose by 21% to 43.2 million TND (13.7 million USD).

At 79.1 million TND (25.1 million USD), the incurred losses have gone up by 65.1%. This increase was mainly due to two large fire claims that were well reinsured, and to life capitalisation contracts that had reached maturity.

At 30 June 2024, the financial income amounted to 15.1 million TND (4.8 million USD) compared with 13.3 million TND (4.3 million USD) for the same period in 2023.
