In 2020 the Algerian Company of Insurance and Reinsurance (CAAR) has posted a 3% decrease in its turnover, set at 15 billion DZD (113.17 million USD).
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the Algerian insurer recorded a 44.2% net profit increase in 2020. The latter went from 793 million DZD (6.62 million USD) in 2019 to 1.144 billion DZD (8.63 million USD) in 2020.
The company's employees increased by 1% to reach 1949. CAAR enhanced its network with eleven new subsidiaries in 2020 bringing the total number to 292 sales outlets.
