CAAT: results 2018

CAAT Algérie The Compagnie Algérienne des Assurances (CAAT), the second largest insurer of the market in 2017 with 23.128 billion DZD (199 million USD) in premiums reported a turnover of 24.125 billion DZD (201 million USD) in 2018, up by 4% over one year. The portfolio composition remained stable year-over-year, with a predominance of industrial and motor risks, which accounted for 61% and 33% of premiums respectively. The remaining 6% was achieved by marine insurance.

Other indicators: the net income grew by 10%, from 2.50 billion DZD (21.5 million USD) in 2017 to 2.77 billion DZD (23.1 million USD) in 2018. The solvency margin increased by 16% while the share capital rose by 25% in 2018, that is 16 billion DZD (138 million USD) in 2017 against 20 billion USD (166.8 million USD) in 2018. Finally, the financial products jumped by 51% at 1.28 billion DZD (10.6 million USD) in 2018.
