Compulsory health insurance in Bahrain

Bahraini insurance operators are considering the adoption of compulsory health insurance for the 600 000 expatriates.

The law notifying such insurance obligation was published in May 2018 but has not yet been implemented by the authorities.

The government's objective through this operation is to boost the health insurance activity in the country.
