Africa Re has announced the creation of Africa Re Foundation headquartered in Mauritius. Operational as from January 2019, the Foundation aims to mobilize funds to support the insurance sector in Africa.
The Board of Directors of the new institution is made up of renowned insurance professionals from all the contient's regions so as to ensure fair representation.
The Foundation's activities relate to risk management in the member countries, support of innovation and research in insurance, the establishment of partnerships with academic institutions, etc.
