Egyptian pool dedicated to compulsory motor insurance

The pool designed for compulsory motor third party liability insurance has recorded 1.1 billion EGP (70 million USD) in premiums over the period ranging from 8 August 2019 to 8 September 2020. The pool was established in 2019 by the Egyptian regulatory authority (FRA).

For the record, in 2019 the Egyptian motor fleet comprised 11 million vehicles out of which only 4.5 million had compulsory insurance.
