Egypt/Russia flights: Egyptian government provides insurance coverage to EgyptAir

Following the sanctions imposed on Russia, Misr Insurance Company has stopped covering EgyptAir flights to and from Russia.

The Egyptian parliament approved a law that allows the Minister of Finance to provide the airline with coverage for risks it may face during Egypt-Russia-Egypt flights.

The insurance covers EgyptAir against accidents arising either from normal flight conditions or from war or hijacking.
