Electric cars hampered by lack of spare parts in Bahrain

According to the Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA), obtaining components for electric cars is a major challenge for the development of these vehicles in the country.

No local company keeps a stock of spare parts, and in the event of an accident, there is a long lead time for delivery of these components from abroad.

Currently, less than 1% of Bahraini motorists own an electric car. Another disadvantage is insufficient battery charging stations.
